I've got to go with shredded cheese that is melted down, has to be good cheese, but yeah,  basically it's sauce.

although shredded cheese on nachos, with the cheese slightly burnt for extra flavour is great too big_smile mmm slightly burnt cheese.

BOTH! Listen to the fat kid! Both are good. Sauce is good when you go out to eat and melted shredded is good at home when you're looking to make it homemade. tongue  mmmmmmm    nachos. :drools:

Yeah it totally depends on the cheese. If you're gonna use cheap cheese then go for the sauce instead, especially if its just corn chips and cheese.

But you get some quality cheddar and monterey jack and provolone, shred that over Doritos, nuke it gooey and pile on browned ground beef and chopped green onion and jalapeno and black olives and thick salsa and sour cream and you got some nachos. And you couldn't use sauce for that medley.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.

I tend to put all the other stuff on top of shop brand tortilla chips & then shredded cheese, nuked til melted then sour cream & salsa then everyone digs in!! big_smile

Don't have cheese sauce here for that...:o
