why not take the last 2 fams and merge there member into the other families to even out the numbers a bit before round starts ?

People will constantly delete out of fams that seem not to be organised and stuff.  Then there's a chance they land into one that is organised, so stay.  You can't stop this kind of discrepancy with this randoming method.

Go, check the # of deletes the top fam has had, vs the one with 5 members.
