Marijuana was made illegal because hemp is awesome (it'd be a long list of industries which use it well, from textiles [it's very strong!] to health [great protein and other nutrients]) and the corporate whores Conservatives support like rigged markets. Even the name marijuana is a misuse of a Mexican term which didn't originally refer to the hemp plant at all, but was convenient to use when ignorant [Valcona missed this one!] like you were scared into thinking black people and Mexicans were raping white women because of marijuana.
