Finally our parliment has done something useful, passed the Marriage Equality bill, allowing for any 2 people to marry.

What is even better is we now have a new tourist attraction, with plenty of Aussies (and others) now planning to come to NZ to get married, so much win it is not funny.

Expanding the marriage franchise is not enlightened. It is even more backward. What the state needs to do is abolish marriage, because it privileges a conception of the good.
