just a thought, with the new bonuses resulting the the higher income of resourcers and the apparent decline of market prices could it be possible to complete a round without resourcers. If saying, the leader was sensible enough to maintain high stockpiles of endurium and octarine and could dictate the market.

True, for within a fam.
But we all know Orbit plays in fams with no coordination and mostly SSness. In which case doing what he suggested will raise the prices of resources on the market and benefit his style of play!
Wouldn't work. With this few players and fams being overall SS-ish as a group it leads to a dead market.
You wouldn't be able to buy at a good enough rate to sustain growth without having your own resourcers in the fam.
Yep, not so much the rate - but the amount of available resources.
Well ive done this regularily the last 4-5 rounds, having wast overproduction of cash in my family (you may remmber the 4 popper families being twice the nw of the 2nd family for instance)
What you do is you just put the market at a relatively high price that you can actually afford and sustain (say 15-20 steady) have large bids there and you will eventually have stimulated the galaxy to overproduce and you will be able to buy up alot. However, if your banker of choice i CF bankers, i dont see why this would be attractive.
iv played with noir in a mostly resource free play style i liked it! and have had much fun playing with noir that round!
