I heat water in a kettle, then I get a glass 12-cup pot and put a cone paper filter in the basket, then I put a half-cup of coffee grounds into the filter then I pour hot water on it when the kettle whistles.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
Steve Jobs has ruined this joke.
