Topic: Triangulum - The Third Corner: An SS's Respite!

So ..was just thinking.  I'm playing SS this round, and I feel at ease knowing that there's a lot of players in the fam to fulfill the "hc attacker" and "banker" roles etc.

Because of the number of players per fam, I feel comfortable not occupying a player spot that has to contribute to the team. 

Don't get me wrong, I love Fam bank, and imo, a perfectly executed one blows away others and brings an Eco lead.  But it's stressful for the organisers/leaders of it (trust me, I know) and doesn't encourage (imo) too much activity or individualism from other players.  They're often required to only build when asked to and aid in very often.

Yes, I'll still help the family, yes I'll work with them.  Yes, their successes are my successes and their failures will be mine.  However, I want to be wholly responsible for my own empire and play SS this round.

Any of you guys playing SS? What are your thoughts?

PS:  Poll is just an indication of how many ppl playing SS.  Intention is not to compare with how many people say no.
PSS:  Don't get the wrong idea here.  I'm posting as a player, not as a Dev or anything.

I myself am SS this time, 1st time in a long time.

Mainly because i dont have the time right now to be part of a fam bank set up and just want to login when i want to and build what i want to without having to worry about meeting certain expectations.

I'm having to build lasers on my planets for the 2nd round in a row from tick 1 because I'm going SS and my fam is threatening to kill me off.  With multiple mods in my family.

I like having ss players in my fam. they allways play til the end so it makes u feel like your not alone if everyone else deletes tongue.

and if they play ss to jump they normally do mega jumps big_smile

I believe it's against the rules not letting someone play the way they want to.

YeaH I've played my fair share with SS. The most sardonic  bara... The most respectful back when FA was usually SS. Most skilled, my own opinion, stromgen... I believe wiwi managed to random and we had a mega jump ending with one of ours first in networth and fourth in size from a family ranking 7 in planet count... tongue

One life to live in is all that a person needs. When traveling down a road looking for the ascension to greater things, all that really matters is the way you got to the end, when you reach your final destination did you help or hurt more?

Is it?  Sol stopped his fam from killing me off last round when Luster and co. were going to right before he stopped fmodding.

Didn't realize it was against the rules.

Im playing SS but not feeling that comfortable in a fam who will get high ntw and so be possible big target but we wont have the skill/activity to fend them off so i'll be killed becuz of that.

I love playing SS. Currently under a fam bank, but most of the times when a fam is less organised, i choose to play SS. I still maintain that a good SS player can make trouble to any fam, doesnt matter what the size. Look what DemoSquad did a few years ago, and i myself have finshed on high positions aswell with SS.

It mkaes it more fun, because you are much more involved in what your doing. Atm im playing ressie in a fully organised fam, and already its boring. You get pm telling you what and when to do, and thats about it.

I survived the Test? of 12-4-03, anyone remember that?

Not to much fun. Always glad to switch the reigns up a big and have good times running with the old one. But if things get out of hand, like they usually do, I've got to bring it back and set things anew again.
