15 man fams? 3 days till start of round? 50x start res?
Il explain why this is going to fail
This rounds going to be extremely unbalanced, the fact it starts in 3 days wont allow for alot of fams to fill and to make a plan, so you will have a bunch of families with 2-3-4 extra players then other families.
Now look at the start resources. if fam a has an extra 3 players then Fam B, thars 1.5mil gc and 55k iron extra they have to start.
its ridiculous.
Cut the start res down and allow more time for the galaxy to fill so its balanced.
Also allow Allies to balance the galaxy.
I don't see how starting ress being 50x more makes any difference than if it were 5x normal.... all you are doing is moving a decimal place over... Fam A will still have the same % more gc/res than fam B... be it 5x ,50x, 500x, 5000x starting res.
So a fam with 8 players will, like always have the same advantage over a fam with say 5 players no matter what the starting resources are. Sure fams should be balanced but we don't need a seperate thread just to request this.

i see wat u meen lee....but i wouldnt take it to seriously...maybe peeps suld enjoy the game for wat they used to instead of gettin all in uproar over things that r or may/will be

KT has already mentioned there can certainly be a longer registration period if needed.
I agree smaller families, less ressie than usual would be excellent, another hardcore round! Maybe only ten times the reg... Or twice less system clusters and twice longer time period duration inbetween start and end times. Makes it a little more interesting when only active players and when more active families are the only ones with gained lead as the result. Might make people fairer and harsh crimes from occuring to other inaccuratw fams...

In my opinion, family activity make much more of an impact on spread between top and bottom fams, than missing a few players does.

Look at the start resources, 2-3 players difference is ALOT of difference.
the gal also is very big, and nobody is gonna actually war, as everyone will just have huge cores and expo till eor.
plus no forum is a bit of a nightmare if you wanna actually organise anything.

Don't forget the amount of planets per system were reduced... so even though the map is bigger, fams will fill up a lot of space a lot faster sending 8 explos a day. Maybe bring back camaar 300% speed for this one? 
Disable morale so smaller fans don't have a disadvantage there.
Leave everything as they are and short families in numbers. Just a mass of spinach dutchie. Make sure you've got extra start of round aid and invented situations...

and i was totally right, i love being right.

Then it will be extended, some wanted the start date pushed back anyway.
c'mon guys, instead of bitching why not just play the round for what it is, a short stopgap to allow time to fix some problems that have developed in the other galaxies
