Topic: [Poll] Milky Way 52 - Setup Designer

Okay, given this thread, it seems that Pinwheel players are taking control of their galaxy and wanting to run it the way they want.

They want a full drafted galaxy (essentially like ICC/ICPG styles - from what I make of it).

So, lets do the same for Milky Way!  Or at least lets choose how the setup should work in Milky Way.  It might be something totally different, it might be the same.

At this stage though, I propose we choose a Setup Designer.  This person will be responsible for designing Milky Way 52 (within the realms of what can be done, obviously) and then we all play with that setup!

Lets vote for who we want for this position.  Is this a popularity contest?  Probably so!  But who cares, lets get someone who might have some ideas of how to run this smile  If you want your name added to this list, let me know and i'll edit the post.  Also enabling people to change their vote, based on new entries etc!

I may not be liked by many as a person but I am an Ideas guy.  My ideas are generally all about balancing out the game to provide a more competitive playing format and balance things out to provide that format.  I've worked with mods in the past to try to help with different format suggestions and as of recently two of the ideas that I pushed for have been introduced, One was the Orion KoTH that the mods finally listened to after a year or more since I first brought it up to fix the downfalls of the origonal KoTh idea as well as the recently announced and soon to come Blackeye Galaxy idea.

I'm not sure if its been coded yet, but the biggest thing i would like to see is a reduction in the number of planets per system. This should allow more systems, and should promote early aggression a bit more.

Besides that, something like 3 drafts out of 8 players should be good or something.

This is IC-wide now.  Will make Announcement later.

Planets per system changed from 20-25 to 15-20.  Yea it's only a smallish change for now, but I dont think we should make it too small either.  Dunno /shrug

Yep, I already mentioned that in Mod forum.  It can be on the To Do List, including stuff like adjustable Spec Op limits and stuff smile
