A rule guide is being proposed, but needs a bit of time to be discussed by the team in the name of fairness.

Regarding more granular control, I am thinking about a few things:

1) allowing each individual bbcode tag to be disabled or enabled
2) allowing each individual player to have their bbcode usage restricted
3) allowing players access to certain features after gaining a certain amount of tag points

I think all 3 of these ideas in combination with eachother would solve many of our problems, and even allow trusted use of the img tag to display images within posts.

Unfortunately, doing any 1 of these requires a fair amount of work and this isn't a priority compared to other game-related things.  We will have to settle for the rule guide being proposed and hope that it gets agreed upon.  Until then, bbcode will remain disabled entirely.

Your attitude is not helpful.  You refused to recognize that you yourself had a good point: we need rules regarding these things.

You see, I can not make rules and enforce on my own whim.  If that was the case you would have a temporary ban right now.  =P  I have to propose such things to the mods and we all make the decision together.  That is what is fair and what is right.

It's not a "U.N. Summit", it is preventing a single person having all the power.  How funny that you complained about me being a dictator and are now complaining about me taking the time to make sure others agree to my proposed bbcode rules/guidelines.

Apparently you just like to complain.

In any case, your above post is not regarding the "idea" that you yourself proposed in this thread.  I was nice enough to respond with ideas that are actually in the works to improve things and all you do is whine and moan.  I'm closing this thread, and this is an official warning for you to knock your crap off.  I'm through being nice about this.  Shape up or expect to be banned from these forums.
