Sorry for the new post on this subject but I didn't get a chance to post in the other one

I like Pie you stated that the problem you see is that we can only get in touch with the MOD's on Irc

Are you able to tag MOD's in game, this I think might help. After all, all the MOD's play the game, or aleast most of the do. Placing a mod-tag on their empire then ppl would know if he/she are online, and able to send messages to them in game

I don't think it should, MODs play the game too, I agree there must be a way to contact them easier for people who cannot get in touch for any reason, but spamming them (which would happen if we knew where they were ingame) would be counter productive imo, and would ruin their enjoyment.

Although this should happen to Arby3 tongue

Think this has been discussed before and Devs were working on it.

Some kind of mod postbox or something.

Yeah we're working on integrating a ticket system for players and mods to communicate with eachother.  The idea is that players would be able to submit a ticket to "the mods" without specifying any one in particular.  Then whichever mod sees it can act on it.

This would be doubly useful in allowing the staff to see mod productivity on a mod-specific level.

Identifying them in game is an interesting idea too, but I fear that would make them targeted, which seems unfair to them if/when they just want to play.
