Topic: Haditha Massacre ?? Where is John Murtha ??

Seems like the Massacre, was a misfortune of war.
A bunch of Killers, hiding amongst innocent villagers, tried to kill some marines.

The gallant Murtha fighters, used the civs as shields.
18 people were killed because killers hid amongst them.

Where is Murtha,  The old, twist so called Marine scum  ??

Is there a point when the Media might ACTUALLY carry this story on the news ??

The Prosecution is 0-7 of eight set for trial.

7 Marines, any hope of a career in the military, basically destroyed.


Where is Murtha ??

The problem lies in the rules of engagement.  As long as the soldiers follow their strict rules, they won't be punished.

Rules of engagement when the war in Iraq started were things like getting permission to fire, or to be fired upon first.  5 years later it is shoot anything that looks hostile (I'm being vague of course).  Pretty much, anything properly deemed as a threat can be eliminated now, and that is where soldiers gain protection from killing civilians.  It isn't right, but as long as our military's are occupying other lands its either them or us.

you mean that marines which claimed all the civilians got killed by a roadside bomb?

Granting guys immunity for testimony is a great deal...until it turns out that even after they "come forward and tell the truth" nobody gets convicted.

Then you have to ask, is this a lethal conspiracy exposed by sparing a few bit players?

Or did these guys buy their way out of jail by getting immunity in exchange for a fairy tale?

There is now only one Marine with charges pending, Sgt. Wuterich.  There is one count against him: Manslaughter.

18 people killed by Marines and the one count left outstanding: 1 count of taking a human life with reckless disregard for safety.

And don't bet that stands up either.

This same thing happened with a guy named Lt. Pantano.  His sgt "came forward" and lied his ass off.  Pantano was acquitted. 

US Marines, when shot at from a building, go in and take it.  Maybe Army would handle it differently: Army would call for artillery or close air support to level the building.  Either way, Americans fight.

What really burns our ass is the propaganda smear the Left used "Haditha" for.  "Oohh. Haditha. Smutter smutter. You support this war, what about Haditha."  "You can wave your flag and praise the troops but behind every brave young man is...Haditha".  That fat slab of lard Murtha ran onto TV and said he had inside information that these Marines were all guilty of cold-blooded murder.  Now one of them is gonna sue his fat can for libel.  I wish they'd just kidnap him and put him on a treadmill and make him jog for ten minutes.  Blow his heart up.

You write like a Newsweek article....or a Times Article.  Making an assumption that is failed as the facts.  Did you state a fact that soldiers today, in Iraq, can just shoot at anything they deem a target ??  No, but you sure made it look as such.

Executions that an Al Jazeera free-lance photographer, that was really an Al Qaeda operative, that just so happened to be at that little town, in the middle of no where claimed ??

Granted Immunity by a Prosecutor that has proven nothing.  Granting "Immunity" is usually given to the one that the prosecution feels is of little interest.....but can take down more guilty involved.
I assume you do know this........but figured to toss it in for spice.

the guys who testimony claim that wutericht took 5 people out of a car and executed them... one even said after that he and Wuterich pee on them.... (while beeing under enemy fire!.. lol)
(notic noon of the marines in that area had a problem with the excution... sry such guys don't belong into any army..)

then they stormed the first house killed all.. found no weapons....... and wuterich gave oders to storm the second because the enemy MIGHT! have run over there... so they knocked at the door.. someone answered.. and they shoot him.. same with the third... 

oh sure this marins might have lied to court to get immunity... and wuterich just might be the victim.. who knows..
anyway i fail to see the enemy fighters in the story...

and yes that whole story was abused for propanga... like ussally... but that doesn't mean it isn't true..

i find this whole immunity for testimony a big mistake anyway....

don't you get teached in the marines what is right and wrong? that there a bordes which will get your ass in jail when you cross them even if you are just following oders?  that there are orders which you are allowed nah which you must not follow?

US Military at every level protects and defends the Constitution.  They answer to the Universal Code Military of Justice (UCMJ).
We do not answer to our commanders, and are not expected to follow an unlawful command.


You are following old news. and Propoganda that has been countered.


Military Justice in the US is the model that the civilian courts in the US use today, and what most Western nations have since followed.

Im wondering, how American possibly slang, translates into German w/o inflection, and back to English from German.

Also, I guess your biggest question is the American Military Justice system.

I also question the integrity of the German source that you have, from a point of not knowing or being able to comment on the source.

From what I know, Im proud of those Marines, and the job they did.  Im also happy the UCMJ did their job, and it looks like all are innocent so far.
