Topic: Leader message length increase, or should give feedback.

Currently the leader message can only be 500 characters (and i found out the hard way).

When trying to submit a text > 500 characters the message gets cleared, and says message has been saved. While this really isnt the case, as you just lost your typed text and an empty leader message has been submitted.

This is very annoying, it should say that the message is to big, and should repost the data youve tried to submit.

Increasing the length might be a good idea aswell, as how much is 500 charaters? not a lot.

You always used to be able post a lot longer he messages, I'm not sure why it changed =\

Ok so ive had a search through the mod forum and cant find anything to give a reason why the length was reduced, also had a chat with Gen and he has no idea either.

I think the suggestion of feedback is a fair one, although im thinking maybe increase the allowed size and add a character counter underneath, so so can see how many characters you have left or gone over and you can adjust your message to suit rather than lose it and have to start again.

What im going to do is raise a ticket with the Devs and link this thread, and see if they can have a look at some point and do something about it smile

also plz talk with the mods about my earlyer idea on this subject

give leaders the option to send a pm to the whole fam at once and make it stand out in red or something so everyone knows its a leader message..

something like that gives an easy way to keep the whole fam updated on plans with the click of a butten while keeping hq message smaller so phone players can actually read it more easy..
