Where do I put a forum name in? And where do I remove the "banned" Thing under my avatar.

This has happened to a few people, we're still not sure why.

chomp i think you nailed it in that other thread: this has something to do with unsupported characters in usernames that didn't make it over

i'm gonna try to test a few things, but in the meantime can you post here what you would like your name to be?

also, do you know if you ever had a mod change your forum name?  that (tm) thing shouldn't have gotten through the game registration in the first place, so there may be another issue there as well

it has been like that since before the forums got hacked, so maybe thats why i was able to keep it. If i can keep it with the TMChomp_On_This that would be awesome big_smile I changed it the round I played with you i think because Darrk had it.

i don't believe so.  unfortunately the "forum nickname" system from the original (v1) forums didn't translate well into the previous (v2) forums, though it still functioned apparently.  the problem we see now is really just exposing a larger problem that existed before the upgrade.

in any case, forum names currently work in such a way that having one that is different than the "ruler name" you signed up with will cause weird things to happen, and not just the ban issue you're experiencing now.  the fix for this will be to reset any affected parties' (and perhaps everbody's) non-family forum name to match the ruler name they signed up with.  i'm working on that now.

in the future the ability to change forum name will be reintroduced in a more proper manner.  for now though, we have to disallow that option for the sake of avoiding the problems it may cause within the current (v3) forums

According to a backup from feb 23 your master account had "Pepsi" associated with it.  At some point since then it changed.  Does this ring any bells?  Did you change anything away from Pepsi or have the mods do so?

Ah, this makes sense then.  I do see this in our backups all the way up until March 1st though.  Did you change it recently or ask a mod to?
