Topic: Alliance change rule

I think this rule is terrible as in my fams case they have been dropped twice by allies for bigger fams and now without any choice of our own we are left disadvantaged by being unable to ally and being a small family without an ally we are just sitting ducks for bigger alliances

I'm not a fan of this rule myself.  I understand it was instated with good intentions to address a serious problem but I feel that it is doing more harm than good.

This seems like a good place to discuss the original problem, and maybe come up with a more appropriate solution.

Could a mod (or player, if able) describe the circumstances around this rule's creation?  I can't seem to find anything about it in the announcements forum.
