Yea a war like this. There are what, 3 or 4 good alliances this round? You're gonna waste one of two or possibly three good wars during expo phase? The round doesn't end until April ffs, the timing of this is retarded.

no its not retarded, we as a family felt it was the right time to do this.

it was either you or someone else, i chose your fam/alliance because if i did war someone else, you guys would catch us up too fast so u made the best target for us on the day.

at the end of the day we made a decision that we needed planets to continue growing efficiently and we wanted some fun and dent the next best alliances infra and open up a nw gap a bit.

i get on with most of ur alliance tbh, i have no real quarrals with anyone at all....ur all nice guys/girls so its nothing personal and no vendetta involved here.

Sorry I should have clarified. It would be retarded if your goal was to have some fun cancel wars this round, but your goal is to win, so with that goal in mind the cancel timing makes a lot of sense.

The cancel timing only makes sense if the breaking alliance can count on other top fams not to simultaneously cancel or prepare to.  Otherwise, there is a lot of opportunity for top teams to portal up all around them while they're sapping resources early. 

Of course, this seldom happens because of "honor" (?).  If they can bank on that, it is strategically sound.  But it doesn't change the fact that this is the most strategic time for other top teams to cancel or prepare to cancel on them; everyone knows if the top team wins a good-sized war this early, without intervention, it is unlikely anyone will catch them.
