It started on a Lazy February weekend.  UD lounging around on irc, when suddenly the beautiful Sol Invictus arrived with reports that they were under attack.  This of course is a good look at the current state of IC, with top ranking families raiding bottom families in order to increase their own planet count without requiring any real work.  Come Monday, the inactive Insane came on, was informed of the situation, and decided to cast a few OH's in aid of his allies.  Alas, this constitutes the much larger alliance of 70 and 80 to say "you started it", completely ignoring the raid done by them to 86, and to declare war on 77 as well.

Sol took about 10 planets from us (7870) unprovoked ... we never attacked them once.  Then we declared war.  Sol brought his allies in to hypno/estorm so we declared on his ally too.

We were too big to attack both until they attacked opped us.

From our end, we raided Sol and he got mad so he tried nuking us (80).  Then he moved to OHs with their pax.  Then after WS took a planet from 77, Fruit Loops hit us with OHs and their alliance nuked our allies.

We've been ping ponging planets in Sol's area for a while now.

to correct pickle army. here is actually what exactly happened

a few days ago, dsup saw that sol's fam was in and out of range so he offered sol a pnap as long as he stayed out of the boundaries of my alliance core. Sol refused. So peace ensued and my allies went on to fight his fam (refer to oxy's post). Then yesterday, we got an attack from Sol threatening us to stay out of his area, i quote him "your fam is trying to set up on mine", when my fam was 4 or 5 times bigger than his. I wasnt gonna take this lying down so i decided to attack him and retook most of the planets that he has been pingponging with my allies. He then proceeded to nuke my top banker and following that, got his ally (who I am a few times their size) to op my bankers. So now I have declared war on both fams as this was unprovoked aggression upon my fam so anyone who thinks that i am farming should eat their words.

I would leave any fam that tries to farm a small fam unprovoked, however this is not the case.

Sol brought this on himself, and then tricked his allies into helping him as he claims to have been under attack.

Sol didn't trick anybody into anything, a bit of planet ping ping is fine, but if you and your ally are going to declare war on my ally, I'm gonna back my ally, doesn't matter how big you are, that's the whole idea of an alliance

Lol the best way to go about this is hard hard nuking and long raids of their bankers and infra. Before long 70/80 will nap and then 78/84 can cancel on em and the rounds winner can be decided

If they are gonna anal rape you guys you might as well stick some epoxy down their and drag em around with ya haha

Galeonis and Insane, A nap was offered the first day that attacks were made.  Sol decided to ignore the messages and not give a response.

Just to be honest I LOVE the fact that 77 decided to OP us this makes it where we get a FREE go at farming them since who cares what anyone else thinks about it.
They opped unprovoked now we rape pillage and destroy them like we did 86 as you can see below

Despite my frustration with recent events with 78, I do have to agree that they are a good example of a top fam that isn't opportunistic and out for the little guys.
