I like this idea
Like on Facebook, if i want to hide spam or posts from a certain person i can.
it would be nice if this forum had the same thing or smth similar it would save alot of arguments sometimes, just to not see whats happening with said persons.
That does sound useful. Would make trolls less effective.
I dont like this idea, the forums must be publik, and even more in this game with 200 or less aktive members.
Many other times I've posted about implementing ideas for to help the clumsy, not worth to even give a priority order to those.
creating private forums would only create eztra controversy, in the way a person mentioned in those forums is not allowed to post there because the creator of the thread doesnt like him.
the forum would still be public and so would all posts.
the point is player A can hide posts made by player B
the rest of the community would be unnaffected and would still see posts by players A and B

nah thats foolish, if you hide posts on purpose then you're losing the conversation thread, and threads may become chaotic (like people talking to a wall) because many people would be using this ability. A thread would go (apparently) offtopic for a general viewer.
It's like people walking in the streets wiht the headphones on and having a telephone conversation, I often say they are bad of the head, and old grandmas agree with me, because for the rest of the world they're talking alone.

Nah, pls dont ruin the forums, if you want private converstations then use a chatroom, if you dont want to see others people posts just ignore them. But you always should be able to read everything from everybody to give a proper answer in the thread, otherwise, as told, it'd become chaotic.

its like on IRC u have the ignore feature its pretty much the same

and about troll threads, well, it's a community affair, people has voice to defend themselves, everybody of us (unless banned).
Or just act like an adult and ignore them. Problem solved without any coding change.

^ This. And if it's getting excessive and bordering on harrasment, Report the post (everyone can do it) and then Mods can send warnings.
If it continues, Mods aren't beyond Forum banning anyone.
Just keep in mind the Troll is usually encouraged by something too, so just make sure to stay well away from it yourself.
Funny that Lee suggests something that 90% of the community would immediately use on him
