We have the following on our HQ page:

Recent Reports - Planet Format Tool - System List Tool - Hot List
Preferences - Invite a Friend

I'm not sure why these aren't sidebar items, aside from the fact that it would take too much work to make the correct image files to work them into existing sidebar designs.

I'd like to consider adding a new text-only section beneath all current sidebars for the links mentioned above.  This sounds far more useful to me.  Is there any reason I may be missing that these are necessary on the HQ page?

keep rezent reports in HQ, move the others wherever you want.
I'd suggest  to kreate a small sektion below the logout button to hold them as tiny buttons

any reason in particular recent reports wouldn't do well as a sidebar item?  i hardly ever click the link honestly, but i might use it more if could access it from any page

I click it continuously, its an important tool for oldschool players like me   ::/

if you move it, then I'll spend double time, 1 time to click HQ and realise its not there, and another time to locate and click it in the new section sad 

in the worse case, recent reports should be in the sidebar, below HQ, not in a new section.

that's a really good idea actually

i think this could improve the situation even for people who are used to it.  as it is, if you're on any page except HQ, this will take you 2 clicks to get to.  having it in the sidebar below HQ will take 1, and still be familiar

The intention was to have a "Tools" link at some point.  But your idea of these links in sidebar are better, since it's just one click.

Lets get rid of the navigation bar, and add these in?

You realise you would spend two clicks to get at it when its on the HQ page? tongue HQ -> Recent Reports, or as in your case if you got confused HQ -> "Oh shit its not there" -> Sidebar tongue

hmm Torq i quite like that idea about fam systems tool being on fam page.  gonna add that to the list

i think for now i'll see about adding these underneath current sidebars.  won't be pretty with a new text link section underneath but it will be more functional
