because it turned into a debate regarding the effectiveness of the current mod team.  It didn't belong in the questions forum.  However, I'd prefer to keep communication open.  I would like to instead have moved this to a "Feedback" forum.

What do you guys think, is that too many forums or would you like to have a forum to discuss positive or negative feedback regarding the game and/or its processes?

I made a suggestion in the mod forum 2 years ago for a message board for players to put in requests for race/empire/delete reset requests. This could also be used for requesting a multi check, etc.

Can I haz the message board please? tongue I really dont think we need another forum.

Or...you get a public version of redmine available like we've been discussing for a few months now. That way players with issues, can just submit a ticket and we can get them solved, and also keeps a record of them.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

Well until the feedback forum is open I would like to request to be made the final decision maker as to which questions deserve to be forwarded to the team, after all since I am the god of IC the lower beings of the galaxy should not have free entrance to the higher powers.

So lets name the new forum Questions for the almighty instead of feedback. No need to bother the higher beings with non important stuff which I will gladly volunteer my time to sift through and since I already know everything hell I probably could just answer them myself and just keep you guys up to date on what I have decided to do haha tongue

I should earn many tag points for this extra effort ey?

The first great idea probably needs to be make WS a God MOD to watch over the activity of the lessor mods???

This is different than a ticket system, which should also be added.

What I mean is, players in my opinion should be able to publicly discuss with eachother any positive or negative feedback they have about the game.

It would definitely lead to lots of whining, but I think that could be a good thing.  We staff members need insight into player perspective.  It will help us identify the urgency of various problems.  We could more effectively prioritize our workload.

This discussion takes place in numerous threads in the forum, in different categories. Yes, it's not an organized thought process, but, you can't have a specific forum for every single specific target discussion or we will have more than 10,000 forum distinctions.

this could be used with later updates and changes. where a dev. posts a thread on the change and sees how it is accepted by the community. but the issue this idea stems from is a player who wants instant reaction from a mod team. this forum is a novel idea but i think the main problem should be addressed. how to get a response from a mod team quickly.

Arby, player feedback is not just part of "every single specific target discussion".  It's crucial to the improvement of our community.  We can have a forum for a specific feature (IC Map) but not for general player feedback?  That makes no sense to me.

twosidedeath, yes that's part of the idea too.  Not just feedback regarding things like mod correspondence but also response to new features or designs.  This goes beyond the purpose of the Ideas forum.

As far as the issue this idea stemmed from, we already have plans in place to address that one.
