One of the best parts of creating a race was having a picture that matched or having a goofy one. Can we bring that feature back?

nah, people would upload stupid pics and many of them to be banned.

However, I'm gonna kidnapp your thread for something that would really work:

an Image setup, a little program that many other games have just to create your own body and face image.
I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about, you can choose among several body forms (alien form, reptile form, humanoid, cocrodrile form, etc..) then you can choose among several helmet forms, or no helmet, then you can choose armors, weaponery, uniforms, etc..  and you create the colors aswell.

The intersting part of this idea it's the community colaboration, because those chosable forms would be created by the community and then voted the best costumes for the races, best weapons, etc...

The community is so small now that if someone did upload something dumb they would just get reported and have it changed.

stick with chomps idea, nothing against your idea render but it simply looks like it would eat us precious dev. time just for some silly pics we could make on our own. we have the same ability in forum, the same rules apply, i doubt it would be abused heavily

I am not saying devs must do this job, there are small programs in the web that do this, you just have to paste the code inside Ic, open code I mean, the only job would be to replace the default pics by the "community" created pics.

I don't see why it would be a problem to add custom pics to race's again.  I mean we did have them at one point.

I mean, we also have avatars in the Forum.  It can be policed, if reported.

Not sure what the reason was to remove them in the first place, perhaps I will ask!

remember peeps used to screen shot other races and use them a their race pic?

maybe have a size limit on the pics if u were bring it back smile

Iirc people would use them to completely hide their race, or have them link to something nasty that would mess up your computer. But I could be making both of those up tongue Yay let's bring the pictures back!!!

Nope, I do'nt remember.  They were removed shortly after I started playing, I think.

Wasn't there a predefined space (physical dimensions, as opposed to file size of image) for the image?

There were predefined space, but iirc people found ways around it. But yea it should just be like forum avvies and fam pics, if someone does something stupid just report to a mod and have them fix it/warn the player.
