Elsewhere that night, evil was in motion.

Lucius Malfoy was a conflicted character. He was not inherently evil as some of his Death Eater partners, but his shallowness and desire for power made him follow the Dark Lord's desires without questions. And so it would be again tonight.

Malfoy knew his target was on guard duty outside Professor Dumbledore's study. Using his student disguise, he walked up to the Headmaster's chambers and sure enough, there he was.

- It's like taking candy from a small child - he thought to himself with an evil grin on his face.

- Imperio!

The poor guard had no chance to counter the Unforgivable Curse. He stood there motionless, awaiting Malfoy's command.

- You belong to the Dark Lord now! And you will do as he commands! Now here is what he will have you do...

Accompanied by Bellatrix Lestrange, Barty Crouch and Wormtail, Voldemort made his way to Professor Dumbledore's chambers. When he got there, he saw the guard standing outside. Normally he would have warned Professor Dumbledore of this, but tonight was no ordinary night.

- Stand aside! The Dark Lord is your master now!

- Well done, Lucius. Well done indeed. - Voldemort grinned as he walked past his newest servant, and raised his wand at the chambers' door.

- Bombarda!

The door blew apart with the sheer force of the spell, and the Death Eaters quickly ran inside. Hoping to catch Dumbledore off his guard, they were held up at the study hall by the scorching fire of Fawkes, the Phoenix. The bird fought with all it had, but fighting 6 wizards was too much of a task, even for a phoenix.

Just as Bellatrix seemed to have it defeated, she was blown back 10 feet into the walls of the study, and the Death Eaters looked up the stairs to see the figure of Albus Dumbledore, wand in hand and ready for battle.

Dumbledore quickly launched a series of spells at his opponents, while allowing Fawkes to regroup. Barty found himself inside a ring of fire, as Wormtail lost any control of his arms. Bellatrix was still recovering, and as Malfoy tried to help her, he heard Dumbledore behind him.

- Stupefy!

Malfoy was left out laying on the ground, unable to move or think.

- You are in over your head, Death Eaters! You cannot beat me!

Suddenly, Voldemort cast a charm, revealing their true identities from behind their student disguises.

- I see you have finally been kind enough to pay me a visit, Tom. It's been too long.

- Silence you old fool! I have beaten you, and Hogwarts and the World will soon be mine!

- Not as long as I still draw breath, Tom. Tomorrow by this time, you will be in Azkaban.

- We will see, Dumbledore. Crucio!

As Voldemort casted the Unforgivable Curse, Dumbledore conjured a mirror which redirected the curse into poor Malfoy's already motionless body. Dumbledore then created a wall of sand around Bellatrix and launched the book shelves onto Voldemort.

- Confringo! - Voldemort's spell hit the bookshelves, causing them to explode - Hahahaha! You think you can stop me with books?!?

- No Tom, that was just a distraction.

Dumbledore conjured a whirlwind around Voldemort, causing him to spin endlessly and without control as Fawkes kept the remaining Death Eaters at bay. As Barty Crouch looked on helplessly and Lucius Malfoy groaned in pain, Bellatrix managed to finally escape from the sandwall and attacked the Phoenix.

- Avada Kedavra!

The curse hit Fawkes, killing it instantly and without pain. Being a phoenix, it was instantly reborn from the pile of its own ashes, but it was now a baby bird and of no help to Dumbledore anymore.

- Incarcerous!

Dumbledore's quick thinking made him cast a spell on Bellatrix, causing her to get wrapped up in thick ropes. However, the momentary distraction allowed Voldemort to free himself of the whirlwind and conjure a massive dragon made of flames which was now attacking Dumbledore. In turn, the Headmaster summoned a jet of water which now threatened the Dark Lord. Just as Voldemort appeared to succumb, a new curse was cast.

- Sectumsempra!

Amid the confusion, Wormtail managed to slip behind Dumbledore as he was focused on Voldemort. Without the Phoenix's assistance, he had been overwhelmed by the numbers. The curse hit him square on his back, sending him into the air and causing multiple cuts and wounds.

A disgruntled Voldemort shoved Wormtail aside and walked up to Dumbledore.

- How dare you presume yourself better than me, Dumbledore! As you see, victory is mine. And not even your boy who lived can save you!

- Harry... will stop you... for he knows love... and you do not... Tom... I feel sorry... for you.

- Enough! Avada Kedavra!

The jet of green light hit Dumbledore, aka Primo, rendering the greatest wizard who ever lived lifeless.

- Victory is ours! Quick, we must disaparate to our chambers! Come on Lucius, haven't you had enough of lying on the ground yet?!

that was one hell of a battle..  i think Dumbledore need some of his army to help, to bad i was asleep.

I will be placing my vote onto KT.  She has me a little worried now, being a quick talker and quick voter.
