The town had been shocked by the death of Arby, he had been well liked within the community, someone people could trust and rely upon. They came to the days meeting angry and fearful, never a good combination. Someone at the back started yelling accusations, "I saw Primo dancing with the devil under the pale moon light." That was when everyone realised Primo wasn't living in Salem, it was just the after affects of his chaps that he had left in the hall as a momento. Suddenly the anger seemed to shift to four people: TU, Dangerous, Undeath and Genesis. People started yelling random insults, "...Undeath smells funny...TU likes little girls...Dangerous is a tool...Genesis masterbates too much..." The town was in uproar and couldn't make a decision. Gradually people started to lean towards TU. He was dragged up on stage. "Confess to your witchcraft and name your sisters then we might go easy on you!" The Mayor told him. TU said, "I can't confess or tell you who my sisters are, I'm not a witch and I'm an only child!" This conversation went around in circles with the Mayor demanding TU confess and TU stating that he couldn't.
Finally someone blew their top, "Let's just lynch this witch and get it over with!" The town dragged TU upto the top of Gallows Hill where he continued to protest his innocence. They strung TU up and watched as his feet kicked, then TU was no more. They checked his pockets, a stick of gum and a rolling stone magazine. There was nothing suspicious there. TU the loyal townie was dead.

It's now night phase. All roles have until 1300 GMT to ingame message me their decisions.
While, I'm still alive, I wanna make this interesting
This game is most fun when people are active and talkative!
So..
@Undeath - Why vote for yourself? What type of information are you trying to illicit?
@Dangerous - For what reason did you think TU was deflecting information of himself? Did I miss something in chat?
(ps: are you the original Dangerous from Andro, with sockers etc?)
@Pie - Gen had the 2nd vote on Dangerous. Hardly a bandwagon? Why vote for him, instead of TBO? (the third vote).
@Hydro - Why do you think Gen was "shady"?
@Genesis - why so defensive when Pie and Hydro called you out?
@Remo - You voted TU, (apparently a totally random vote?) when he was already in the spotlight. Why?
@xara - Same for you, except Genesis, in your case. Why?
@Poley - Do you think "extreme" reverse psych is a valid tactic in this game?
@RD - Ah, i see you had similar reasons to Pie, except you seemed to pick TBO instead of Gen. Given first day is mostly random votes, do you not think we can get information from people hopping and skipping bandwagons?
@Oxy - like in my post, why a random vote, only consisting those who have only been voted for before
And a question to all:
Do you think vote switching multiple times, is an acceptable tactic or not? Or do you prefer to vote once, and stick with it?
Btw, these phases suck for me, so I'm hoping to generate conversations during night phase too. I don't see a reason why we should stop trying to figure out who is mob, just cos it's night time.
Righto, discuss!
[17:13] <+HydroP> Genesis is a witch
[17:13] <+Blizzard> is that what happened to evil runt ![]()
[17:14] <+HydroP> yup
[17:14] <+Genesis> i'm a witch, but hydro is a bitch!
[17:14] <+Genesis> boom!
[17:14] <+Poley> broom!?
[17:14] <+Genesis> quidditch!
nuff said!
@Poley - Do you think "extreme" reverse psych is a valid tactic in this game?
lol yes... (unless youre looking into it more than I expected?) Next?
also I dont care for vote switches. I dont believe Ive done it at all, and its usually done by mobbies banding together or someone trying to save their hides!
Cool post Torq
I like your format.
As for the question at me, I actually was going to vote TBO first, but at the last second I thought again about Gen's post. It's more of a "hmmmm" than any concrete thing, but it just seemed odd in a way that Genesis was voting with a joke for his reason. He's a funny guy yeah, but it made me think "hah... that'd be a clever way to mask intent" if it turned out that Dangerous got lynched and showed up innocent.
It was less about a bandwagon and more about the potential to take advantage of one townie targeting another. If Dangerous was voted out and turned out to be townie, Gen could easily say "Hey i was just making a joke!" and the blame would fall on TBO instead.
I'll admit though, I may be over-thinking things. But Gen is clever so the possibility is there.
As for vote switching, I prefer to vote once but definitely would change if the right defense or explanation came about. As a tactic, I can see its potential for mob-use to create confusion but I'd also imagine that it can screw things up if people aren't careful about it.

You tell me, what's next! You're obviously around (but not in chat?). What do you think about Undeath's self-voting?

Pie, given it's the first day lynch, would you really expect people to use that as a cover to mask intent? I mean, look at TU. He died as town, before people kinda even had a chance to think. Do we all believe that all mob (if any) voted for him? No. Ie, Canl we blame any of those who voted for TU, and call them out as mob, legitimately?
Also, my perspective in vote switching is, is that I love it. I'll qualify it with, I hate people who just randomly switch (and my bane is ppl who vote without any reasoning whatsoever, (e.g. SSL... - but yea, time constraint and all for him)). So that's completely useless (Nolio does it often). But I'm realy in favour of voting for people if I think I have a reason to, and laying pressure on them. Then if I'm satisfied with them, or I find someone else more suspicious, I'm more than happy to switch. Presuring people and seeing their responses, is all what this game is about. For that reason, I don't mind people who vote and change votes. (And I repeat, I do however hate people who do it randomly for no, seemingly obvious reasons).

Oh, I guess you were in chat. Sorry, I just didn't see you say anything for a while.

I think this is often misinterpreted. I rarely if ever say that people are in fact mob. What I see though are possibilities and likelihoods. Given the first day lynch, I think most people would probably choose to play it safe. However, I also think that some people might be tempted to take advantage of an opportunity. Given that TU himself admitted that his vote on Dangerous wasn't really based on anything, it was noticeable to me that Gen and TBO both joined on the vote. Even more noticeable to me was that Gen's reasoning could also be a pre-planned defense.
Does that make them mob? Not necessarily. But it is consistent with a behavior pattern I can see in my mind if I were mob. Think like a killer to catch a killer right?
Also, given that all other things are neutral at this point, and my vote would otherwise be random, things like this are enough to push me towards identifying some kind of suspicion even if it is hardly concrete. That's also what this game is about after all: taking details and exploring what they might mean.
@RD - Ah, i see you had similar reasons to Pie, except you seemed to pick TBO instead of Gen. Given first day is mostly random votes, do you not think we can get information from people hopping and skipping bandwagons?
Well, 2 men is hardly a bandwagon, and so is 3, but when your vote pulls your target ahead in line by just that little bit, putting someone who is already on stage right there in the spotlight, I find that suspicious. Furthermore, TBO just went along with Gen's joke-like argumentation, which, as Pie explained, might've been a built in defense. For TBO's case, he could easily defend himself as well saying either "it was a random vote" or "I thought Gen made a good joke", as first day lynches gone wrong are easy to defend. I just don't like it when people highlight others for no particular reason whatsoever.
Aside from that I always take a liking to new players, wanting them to at least be able to survive a few day/night phases. Notice that whenever I've been mob in the past, it's always been the veterans who were first to die and the new guys last
.
On the subject of vote hopping, I'm for it as long as it is for a good reason. If there is no reason, I am completely against it as you're just randomly voting basically, such as TBO did this day lynch as well. Then again TBO isn't really that good at this game, so I guess it could just be him...
That's also what this game is about after all: taking details and exploring what they might mean.
100% agree. And this is what makes the game fun.
And people shouldn't be afraid of doing it, in fear of being targetted/lynched.

Was probably heading for a snooze before night shift. ![]()
What do you think about Undeath's self-voting?
Since its UD, it could go both ways. Nolio did it last round, got killed off and was a townie. UD can be one for heads games or just pain not giving a shit, Im yet to work out which one lol.
Those that are on the quieter side this early in the game may need a lil more pushing into the spotlight imo. Two townies down, there is only so many others left that can be pro town now. I think it would be better to vote for the quieter bunch before all the talking townies kill each other off ![]()

The serial killer was miffed, he had been sure that he had succesfully killed HydroP and finally reached his 100 tally. He had been wrong. For the first time in nearly 100 kills, he had been wrong. The anger inside him was incomparable, blistering him with it's heat. The serial killer was seeing red when he snuck into Pie's house. The serial killer went to the kitchen, looking for something to kill Pie with. That was when the serial killer noticed something funny in the fridge. He didn't think much of it, lying in wait in Pie's bedroom. While sitting in Pie's bedroom he noticed a diary sitting open on Pie's bed. The serial killer had a look, certain words catching his eye, '... and that's when I realised, I am Rebecca Nurse...' '...and so we partook of EvilRunt's blood, sealing the towns fate with our dark rite.' The serial killer took note of this, "Interesting" he thought as he waited. If Pie could eat people, perhaps he could eat Pie.
As Pie came into her room, she didn't notice anything amiss. Pie lay down in bed, she had a busy night last night, and deserved a good sleep. Her sisters would ensure the death of the town yet. As Pie was nodding of she noticed a movement out of the corner of her eye. Suddenly the serial killer was holding a knife to Pie's throat. "Don't say a word, or I'll cut you," the serial killer warned Pie. Pie opened her mouth to curse the serial killer, but he knew what was coming and stabbed her through her voice box. "I warned you not to speak, bitch," the serial killer said. The serial killer started to tie Pie up, he was going to enjoy this one. The serial killer brought Pie's cauldron into the room, heating it up with water inside of it. Pie knew what was coming but couldn't yell, couldn't make a move. The serial killer threw Pie, still bound, into the cauldron. Pie thrashed in the bottom of the pot, cooking alive. The serial killer stood watching on, enjoying Pie's pain. After a while Pies movements stopped. The serial killer added some seasoning. The serial killer scooped Pie out of the pot, cutting out Pie's liver. The serial killer had always enjoyed liver. The serial killer gradually cut Pie into little pieces, eating some and leaving the rest around Pie's room. Pie, AKA Rebecca Nurse, was no more.
Meanwhile, Sarah Good had a task in mind that she would trust to no one else. She had been seduced by someone pretending to be a doctor, by the name of RisingDown. He turned out to be a cheap charlatan, just trying to get into her pants. Now was time for a more personal kind of revenge. Sarah knocked on RisingDown's door, and he opened it saying, "You better not be knocked up, I don't want any kids!" Sarah smiled, and asked to come in, telling RisingDown he had nothing to worry about on that score. RisingDown, thinking that he might get lucky, let Sarah in. RisingDown poured himself and Sarah some wine, attempting to get her drunk. Sarah pretended to drink while RisingDown steadily got drunker. That was when Sarah asked RisingDown if he wanted to move somewhere more comfortable.
Sarah and RisingDown proceeded to his bedroom, where he started to strip. Sarah pushed RisingDown onto the bed and told him to close his eyes. As RisingDown was lying there, eyes closed, expecting to get some, Sarah made her move. Sarah pulled a knife from her bodice and castrated RisingDown. RisingDown screamed, staring at the ruinage of his manhood. "You bitch, what the hell..." RisingDown yelled amidst his pain. Sarah pushed RisingDown back down onto the bed, gutting him on the bed. As RisingDown's gut was split open Sarah was heard to say, "You always were full of crap." The last thing RisingDown knew was as Sarah was shoving his own intestines down his throat.
The next morning RisingDown's neighbour was walking his dog when he saw RisingDown tied to a cross in his front yard, his stomach emptied and his intestined hanging out of his own mouth. RisingDown the townie was dead.

It is now dayphase, everyone has until 0100 GMT to vote.
Lame! Killing me off on my birthday >:(
Bitter sweet! Pie, lol you mobbie. Pity though, was enjoying our discussion! Gj sk!
RD, happy birthday mate -_-
Gonna kick things off with voting for xara. Re-reading her post, she voted for Gen, cos she wanted a random vote and didn't want to join the bandwagon. Yet she was the 3rd person to vote for Genesis.
9 vs 4 vs 1
As for changing votes yes I think we should be able to. Due to different time zones a lot isnt known till later. As for constantly changing that is a real pain to follow ![]()
I am going to start off my vote with TBO
He voted for the person who was lynched and was voted for by the person that was murdered in the night by the witches. Seems a fairly good % chance that he is one of those witches.
In 3 pages of game thread, SSL has said one word - 'Torqez' (a vote to avoid missing lynch). The mob is typically quiet and "inactive", so my vote for right now is SSL.
Gonna vote Dangerous again, seeing how promptly Pie jumped to his defense and guess what, pie was mob ![]()
And of course Hydro did the same ![]()
happy birthday Rising Down.
i vote for Torqez. Cause he voted for me ![]()
