GALAXIES THAT TICK AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS!!
(once we get the population back up)


EXAMPLE:
------------

ORION NEBULA - 15 MIN TICK
MW/ANDRO/ICPG - 1 HR TICKS
SAGGY D - 3 HR TICK
PINWHEEL - 8 HR TICK
TRIANGULUM - 24 HR TICK



This would provide some nice variety and encourage some lazy vets to return. Besides: why not make a MAJOR difference between
all these galaxies?

15 minute ticks in Orion might be a solution for the super-dedicated / impatient

For others, this game becomes tiresome because to really be dedicated, it requires logging in at weird hours of the night to send
fleets, etc;  so the solution would be to slow down the ticks! But since some people like things the way they are... we give multiple
options, including traditional 1 hr ticks!

8hr ticks are also nice: Imagine working a full day or sleeping 8 hours, and still being able to pwn IC with no worries? And for the
super casual player, 1 day ticks: cuz rather than killing off ppl in our family that log in once every 3 days, and their interest in IC
along with it, we could funnel them into a casual/inactive galaxy.

This provides something for everyone, so u won't have to sacrifice your life. And for inactive ppl playing a fast paced galaxy, we
could suggest some type of relegation to a slower galaxy... (this would show up when the "stay in family" button appears at the
EoR)

This would help with player retention and noob development a great deal.

Faster ticks could be an option, life half hour ticks.
8 and 24 ticks are bad ideas.

24h might be excessive. Altho it's what I love about another game I play called Erepublik. You can go away for 4 days and not miss much.

8 hr is genius though. because, if you can't log on for 2 days, you only miss one tick after ur CFs come in. and again. for those that don't like the idea.  just don't sign up for a slower paced galaxy. most galaxies would still be one hour. but for lazy inactives... there would be another option other than getting killed off, and losing interest in the game as a result.

Again... That's for inactive players. If u don't like long rounds: don't play there. The whole idea is u can walk away for a few days, have a life. Come back and not miss anything

imagine the activity level needed to play a 15 minute round. although this did give me an idea.


what about a speed round, only a week long or so, 10 minute tics with 1-4 player sized families, BUT the galaxy would only be active for 12 hrs a day.(2 galaxies to account for the darker side of earth) this downtime would allow for people to live and relax without causing insomnia because with 10 minute tics and a 6 hour sleep. thats like being away for 2 days of a regular war.

also in a 2-4 hr tic galaxy, which i will never play. maybe make the maps more clustered and double speeds.
