I am just posting this in universe news so forum mods can move this to other later. I am just getting your attention. Some of you use Java being required to be installed on computer in order to access to irc chatrooms via imperialconflict.com website. I just found out about this link I posted above and that hackers discovered a loophole to hack people's computer via Java's weak security. So please be aware of risk of using Java on your computer. It is completely up to you to keep Java on your computer. If you want different way, try download MIRC or other IRC applications. You can ask one of mods for alternatives. Last thing I want for you to be getting hacked.

mIRC and IceChat are the 2 commonly used ones. And I agree with Vegnarok, you should consider switching to them and avoiding the Java applet.

Thanks for the heads up here. Trying to use Linkinus on OSX and having trouble finding imperial chat on here. any suggestions how to get this running?

Found that Colluquy works great on OSX. Had it set up in 3 minutes. Thanks again for the heads up

I use Ice Chat on desktop. It's free, easy, and prettier than mIRC.

For my phone I use Colluquy (thanks Pie) so I would recommend that as well.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

mIRc is also free if you go around a few hassle clicks

Hacking actual java from a java script is impossible. Only acceptance is Stefan's actual home comp (if it's still a Macintosh). That arcane peace of equipment for accessing land Davy instances of computer love is at fault!

Real possibilities are actual frame infringement, but easy to track, of the web IP address and trivial hacking skills. But that leads back to his comp still... From an active java applet doesn't sound common...

One life to live in is all that a person needs. When traveling down a road looking for the ascension to greater things, all that really matters is the way you got to the end, when you reach your final destination did you help or hurt more?
