Well that certainly was interesting.

For anybody who doesn't know what happened, we were hacked a few days ago and had to take the game and forums offline until now.  I won't go over the details here because we've already done so elsewhere and no need to beat it to death.  An explanation of events can be found here: http://www.imperialconflict.com/pwnz0red_sadface.html

On that note, your old passwords will no longer work.  You should have all received emails containing instructions for recovering your account.  Some people have informed us that they either do not remember or have access to their email addresses used for signing up.  We are working on a process for handling this scenario and will have more details as soon as possible.  I will make another post here when that process is ready.  We appreciate your patience.

Also, we have taken some measures to improve security that may impact game functionality.  We've done some testing and things look ok so far but if you see any problems please report them in the bugs forum.

Thanks everybody.  It's been a very long last few days, and we're looking forward to things returning to normal around here.
