Yup, we would be in the same boat except our President just fires up the printing press to print more dollars - Spain appearently does not have that luxury.  Sure, the value of the dollar is dropping like a rock but people who are dependent on the government  are happy as clams.

Actually read on FrumForum that the standard of living in USA was comparable to the 1950s.
