I think you should all take a minute to realize how stupid and avoidable all these situations are if you simply enforce gun control, like every other civilized country does.

A murder is not just a murder because he was able to get a hold of a gun to shoot people with. The problem is the person and not the weapons that are used.
You'd almost think their are some kind of laws that allow/give a bigger possibility for stuff like this than in most other countries........ besides the fact we are growing away from society(Not much social about FB/twitter etc), just have a look in the train/bus/subway/shopping malls, 80% walks by looking at their phone only. Add that shite together combined with an unstable person and the last drop too make his ticker tick...
If only he learned of IC.... 
Though I understand that "Its not the gun, its the person holding it" claim, Im all with Gen on this.
Im sure its the same in the other countries, as it is with Aussie, but its hard to get your hands on a gun here unless youre connected and have big $$ to spend (Illegally) or go through a long process of obtaining a licence and spending big $$$ to make sure you have all the neccessary controls in place to keep that gun safe and out of the wrong ppls hands. Ive run into some bat shit crazy ppl high as a kite that have gone to lenghts to run ppl off the road, or get out of the car and want to punch on, drunk as all shit and mouthing off to gangs/groups of ppl. I could only imagine a nation, with the same sort of rage or delusion with a gun in their hands
Its also the "sane" ppl defending their right to own a gun most of the time, but truth be told everyone has the possiblitiy to break at some stage or another also. With gun control in place it does make it a lil harder for events like this to occur as often as they do in the States.
This is just tragic though, I couldnt imagine being connected to this, or if my kids had of gone to that school etc...

the lazy mod has a huge point, even police in my country dont carry guns on regular basis.
A gun can be made with a minor machine shop and access to three basic components of powder.
A gun can also be made of plastic except a few parts (ironically the easier to make parts, barrel included)
A cannon can be made from a tree (Mythbusters did it)
Napalm can be made with ***** and ***** which are both commonly obtainable.
If every teacher had to undergo required training and had to pack a gun... not one pyscho in the world would target a school.
Additionally why is it the French Police wont enter certain districts in Paris?
Why is the safest nation in Europe also the most armed?

10 year olds, and no. The teachers could be armed (or even just a minor percentage) and the killer would have been able to been stopped much sooner.
Put a Veteran in there with a gun as well. My history teacher was a Chosun Few Veteran. He would have killed such a punk fast and got the job done.
Elementary schools are excellent places to keep guns!
If you rig hospital doors with mustard gas and place land mines on all football fields, you secure those places too!

I plan to get a Doctorate in math. If I then teach at a school I am an ideal choice to be armed. I am a Veteran, I have high accuracy, I am willing to die to save others (aka not a coward), and I am stable.
As a security expert I believe even a 15% armed teacher and staff level would allow a quick end to such monsters. Advertise it and they will choose locations without guns.
Do you seriously not see the problem in your "bring your guns to school" plan?

Do you know the Stats on concealed carry permits, police, military gun crimes?
Before Obama changed the rules for military shooting were so statistically low as to be better than the lowest murder rate in Europe. Police tends to be pretty low except where standards is 'hire first, care later'. Concealed Carry crimes probably can be counted on one hand.
The instance of teachers shooting students (they could bring a gun in after all) is pretty null as well.

That is evidence an armed teacher can save lives.
In the current shooting the principal apparently, unarmed, tried to stop this monster. If the principle had been armed I think this story would be much different.
if this guy wasnt alowed to carrie guns he couldnt shoot all these kids... that how simple it is..remove the guns , remove amount of ppl beeing shot

if u cant remove the crazy [Pl]uckers, remove the things that makes the crazy [Pl]ucker dangerous atleast try to make them less dangerous dont give them GUNS!
remove the guns and next time the murderer will just use a knife or homemade bomb or any other number of weapons. people that intend on killing others will find other ways to accomplish their plans even if you enact harsher gun control laws.
everyone should just be home schooled!
