Hey guys, at this stage, we're also looking at ways to improve IC from a player's perspective.  Not something that will change the game functionally (although we will still look at these like normal through the Ideas thread), but things which will improve and make your life a little easier.

This is not going to be a To Do list per se, but it will be looked at closely and if it is more or less easy to implement, it may get done smile  Some examples of similar (that don't really affect the game) recent changes are:

- Max number of explos that are buildable displayed on Unit's screen
- Send All Aid links
- Overbuild to Percent!
- Planet Format Tool
- Colours of Names in System Page based on Family Relation

The above are just an example.  None of these have changed the game as such (e.g. no new Op, or Soldier/Droid attack values changed), but hopefully have enhanced gameplay just that little bit.

So! As a request, please think of TWO ideas, along this nature, that you think if implemented, will improve your IC playing experience smile  The reason I say 2, is because I'd like you to think about the two things that will most help you at this stage.  Depending on the ease of getting them implemented, we'll aim to do so!

Please post them in this thread, be descriptive as possible, and please do not knock down any other person's idea.  We all have the same objective here! smile

I think one of the most important things we need to think about is getting any returning players up to date! I posted an idea a few months ago about a *New Updates* guide to the game. A time line of when they happened and why they happened.

This would mean that returning players don't have to spend a round looking like a noob building 6 expos a day or one of the many things I fell into last round X(

This isn't necessarily a change but it is vital for keeping players here!

2)  An option with advanced building to destroy all lasers on planets that are selected. Like portal but instead destroys lasers. Easier for passing planets to family members

1) Farming small fams is a big part of this game, there have been tweaks to get this lower because it makes players leave. Currently if a fam out of NW range attacks a top fam, the attack window is open for 72h, I think this should be downsized to a 48h window or maybe even 24h/36h. Usually its new players who lift the protection rule and make players leave this game because they aren't able to do anything back because they don't have the recourses or the activity like the topfam(s)

2) This leans towards NathanLee's idea posted above, it has been suggested before I think, but we should be able to select planet list on lasers build and maybe even on recourse bonus too.

Some usability ideas:

Map page:
- Add the coordinates of the systems as title attribute. That way people know the coordinates of the systeem even when the coordinate rows aren't visible.

System page:
- Show the planet number next to the planet (right top)

Market page:
- Show the total value of a bid for existing bids
- Show how much money a new bid will cost/be worth (javascript)

Planets page:
- Show how many tick it'll take for a planet to have max pop
- Possibility to filter the planet list (javascript) on bonus type, portal/no portal, lasers/no lasers, troops stationed,  OB%

Fleets page:
- Possiblity to sort your fleets (or just have a default sort) that way the order of attacks doesn't change between refreshes
- Possiblity to filter the fleets (javascript): explo's, family members, non-family members, filter on certain person

Science page:
- Ability to calculate how much points more are needed to research a certain percentage

Family news:
- Show the current owner of a planet next to exploration/attacks.
- Possibility to filter (javascript) on family member, attacker, type of news
- Link the player name to his profile

Ranking - players:
- Also highlight family members

If I can continue on point 1 of you Sol: a small change for new players in which you get a warning message of some sort when you try to opp/attack a family that is out of your range. Something along the lines of: "You are trying to attack a family which is currently unable to attack you due to big NW differences. If you carry on with the attack you lift this block which means they are able to attack you and your family"

Off course the message itself doesnt really matter and can probably be written in better English but you know what I try to say with it tongue

make it easier to remove lasers from planets,  i hate donating planets and having to kill 12 lasers on 100 p's  i dont have time for that shit.

Why not eh? Will give a perfect chance for the "Vets" to strut their stuff and stand alone to prove they are better, rather than just "randomed" or "drafted" into a winning fam.

Multiple accounts in same fam. Let these know it alls that think they can do better have multiple accounts rather then ruining the experience for new players. I seen this similair idea in a game called ambar.

Allow pre exploration and pre build upto a certain time frame for players who cant be on 24/7. This will allow more competition.

1) Make it so that you don't have to keep the FA tag for 48 ticks (6-10 ticks seems reasonable)

2) Seems silly that a fam member needs to be marked inactive for morale losses to be better?

Make a % of free space build option maybe? I am OCD about my building ratios when banking so I like to have my ideal ratio on all planets. This sometimes means needing to build new planets only half way to FB for example. in order to do this I need to go planet by planet and calc each one. Would be alot easier if I could select new planets and then build them to 50% of free space with one type of infra and then the other 50% with another type which still only puts me FB but atleast it would allow me to get my ideal ratio much quicker than calcing planet by planet.

Though it's been a long standing idea, this is now implemented for Resource Types smile  Given you a Tagpoint here tongue

Please don't tell me the ideas have dried up - we need more!  Granted, all of that in this thread haven't been implemented (and not all will) - but still, I'd like more Idea generation going on!  Hopefully the Dev Team have proven that we do listen, and we are trying to help.

Therefore, get them Ideas rolling in!!

selected planets infra destruction!

not sure if its that much of a demand but toggle xx number of planets select building type to destroy and destroy, after a big raid and you want to pass planets which you have kept lasers to help prevent retakes once war is over or during when you pass going through them all killing all the lasers is kind of annoying,

its not like a "demolish Cash factories" when you are attacking and dont ahve to care for other Cfs

just a thought.
