situation: i sent a 1 mil Fig fleet(so only figs)to attack an enemy portal in the next system(1 week away). Right at the start of the new week i attack. The guy im attacking just sent his whole fleet to bust my port so i only lose 9 figs and he 13. While im looking at the battle report he busts my port and i loose the planet because my figs have vanished.

    Week 41, 20        After a brave fight our family member GreedyVengeance had to flee the planet planet ** in the **,* system which was attacked by Schnapp of family 6742.
    Week 41, 20        Our family member GreedyVengeance managed to defend planet ** in the **,* system against an attack by forces from Schnapp, family 6742.
    Week 41, 20        GreedyVengeance made an attack against planet ** in the **,* system owned by Schnapp (6742), but the planet's defense was too strong.

The moment i close the battle report screen i discover that all my 1 mil figs have vanished and my round is over sad.

hmm strange and annoying bug hmm

in the old days when things like these happened the gal was rolled back to the tic it happened, but not sure if current mods have right now the ability or the will to do it

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

Any ways to prevent this bug from happening? Like not sending full figs fleet or something?

Only a week or two left in this round so don't bother with a roll-back. Not as if we were going to win that war...but i do think the developer should try to find out why it happened, because these things can end a fams round.

Did you look through the attack report properly Etro? Sometimes if your in a rush to recall you don't read it properly and maybe hit a lot of defending fighters

I am not sure what you mean by figs vanishing. You had 1m figs and now they are gone?

i sent exactly 1 mil figs and i did look at the report(9 lost on my side, 13 on his because he sent almost all his figs to my planet). You can never loose all figs you sent to attack. My 1 mil figs just vanished. They were in my attacking fleet but when i looked at my fleet after i closed the report they were all gone. i only had the 100k figs left that i sent in another fleet.....so it must be a bug.

This is not the 1st time this bug happens, I've read about fleet dissapearing and fleet appearing before (like Philadelphia project) in this bugs thread. Once I got 1 ezploship appearing in my fleet from nowhere after attacking 1 planet the e-ship was stationed in that planet (yes you read ok, 1 e-ship stationed).  It's nothing to worry about when the fleet lost/gained is minimum, but when u're talking about 1m figs then we'll have to look into it deeper.

Imo that fleet went accidentaly to another empire's fleet, we'd need to know who received that gift, and that's hard to know, because people don't post in bugs when the bug is beneficial for them.

First time I heard about this..

As far as I could track things I found the news about you making around 1m figs. After that I did not find any battles where such amount of figs were lost. So it seems that those figs have vanished indeed. Unfortunately IC doesn't store everything so, for all I know you disbanded your figs by mistake. No offence of course!

Regardless, I will check it out.

Yes, as the attacking family we did notice a huge nw drop on him, thus we figure he lost his ground due to a fig trap, but we couldn't be sure.

indeed, dropped alot of NW next tick. Those were the 1 mil figs. I didn't sent ground that attack.

btw; i dont think anyone can manage to "disband by mistake", because you have to do some very specific things to disband fleet. It's not like a button in your main screen you can accidently press smile

It was just an example of things that are unable to track in the current system. Also it is possible. Let's say you wanted to drop some NW to hit a small guy and you accidentally disband too much tongue

Disappearing units were not uncommon a few years back, but this is the first time I've heard about the bug in a long time. Unlucky Etro sad

You'd be surprised. There's no good way to track this stuff. The best a dev can do is to look at the page request logs. I've seen logs proving people accidentally do some pretty strange stuff.
