i think just leave it as it is

Re: MW Market Collapse

The way it is mean 1 or 2 fams end up gaining control and shutting down everyone else's growth. Many fams suddenly end up with more cash then resources and are uncle to get more resources form the market to use up the resources.

Re: MW Market Collapse

poeple forget how ridicoulusly expensive 50 gc pr iron actually is. A 400 planet resourcer with 1000% OB and 65% resource science could produce 80 million cash a tick, more than the best poppers this round...

True but cash is worthless if you don't have enough resources.

My point is thhat this happens every round, people need to be smarter and expect this tongue... Theres always EOR wars that screws up market.. that being said, i support a high market limit.

I would say both situations are pretty worthless lol

Re: MW Market Collapse

How do you plan for that? Start off the round with mostly resourcers hoping for the market? Smaller fams try to balance their income but at this point after getting farmed many times our resource income is lower then our cash income which means likely for the rest of the round we will not get full use of our money just like many other small fams.

Re: MW Market Collapse

When market prices are up, you build Rez. When they are bottomed out, you buy and jump bankers. If you cannot fluctuate growth while depending on market, then your strategy needs work.

Re: MW Market Collapse

Lol, increasing max price will only make it worse. If you can't buy endu at 50, how are you going to afford it at 100?

Re: MW Market Collapse

Arby thats the worst argument ever, the problem here is not that people cannot afford endu, but that it is unavailable because its blocked by big fish. The reason they can block the market so easily is that the max marketprice is too low. A good popper will make 90 gc per building, meaning buying resources as 50 is acceptable.

If market is locked at 100 instead of 50, then suddenly its twice as expensive, and the smaller families can make fortunes selling their resources at 100. The alternative is to have no limit, this for for all practical purposeses the same as the food market is currently. It works like any other normal market, when prices go too high, people stop buying and start producing instead.

That wasn't the complaint Noir. The problem was too much cash. tongue

Re: MW Market Collapse

If I had a better family and more desire to be active, I always love playing the market.  Start at the end of explore just start stock piling endo and iron at 50.  Buy it out.  You can make lots of cash at the end for EoR war or jump.  Plus you can drop money into research.

We just got out of a "war" where a fam over 2X our NW took 300-400 planets from us killing our resources income as well as cash. Our cash income is mostly back but now we cant make up our resources income because market is locked out. Not everyone gets the ability to plan for this situation, to most of the smaller fams the situation is dictated to them when someone decides to farm them and kills their income, now no more growth for the last few weeks of the round.

This can be solved by flooding the market in situations like this, or buying out the market when supply is too large and demand is less.

Re: MW Market Collapse

Manticore, buying from market is temporary solution. Dump your Iron at 50 and build a ton of mining facilities (as much your endo will allow). Then do the same for endu. Rinse and repeat. Yes, it sucks but its better than just sitting on cash doing nothing.
