Oregon Democrat Rep. Tina Kotek will  become the first openly lesbian Speaker in the country after destroying her republican challenger in a ridiculously lopsided contest for her house seat. Oregon democrats eliminated a 30-30 tie in the Oregon state house by gaining 4 seats in the 2012 election.

Unless you have dozens upon dozens of electoral votes, it doesn't mean anything for the country. You're being squashed by demographics and birth rates.

And unless the civil war hasn't happened yet and states still have rights, what doesn't mater federally won't matter locally the moment anyone cares to force you to do something differently.

I love how I'm going to be required to pay for insurance covering birth control and herpes [etc etc]. Because I really deserve to be saddled with the costs of irresponsible whores. Yeah, I said it.

I know at least one who's happy about this. No shame, just happy that others have to burden the costs of her irresponsible (whorish) behavior. How far we have fallen.

I hate that they are requiring BC to be covered by insurance.

It's $9 a month for my woman's BC. WITHOUT filling it through her insurance. If you can't afford $9 a month, then you're too broke to have sex.

I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

When I lived there, the police generally ignored pot smokers anyway. In fact, there was an annual event hosted by a rich dude where pot smokers openly congregated and smoked pot, and the police knew about it and didn't care.

obamacare makes employer provided healthcare count as taxable income in 2013 on.  so congratulations all of you who worked hard to get a salary job with benefits! you might now be in a higher tax bracket even if you have a shitty heath savings plan with a 5k deductible!!  \o/
