Oxygen, you might want to supply some of your forum name to your head.  Vandy lost to Arkansas this past weekend.  Plus, here are the records:

#16 Vanderbilt: 24-5
#4 Tennessee: 26-3
#2 Memphis: 28-1

Oxygen, tell me what team amongst those three, has gone to two straight Elite 8's the past two years, being in the same pathetic Conference as they are in now?

I was a die-hard Vandy fan after they beat the ugly orange, but Memphis will always dominate the state of TN.

True, but Tennessee is the reason Memphis never could get in the SEC.  The city of Memphis breeds all the good football talent coming out of HS.  Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas (mainly Tennessee, though), like to steal all that talent from the city of Memphis, so they wont let Memphis into the SEC because they dont want us to compete with them for all that talent.  So Memphis is stuck with the leftovers for football.  Unfortunantely, that throws our basketball team into the same bad-conference situation.  We can get all the basketball talent, Memphis basketball has a tradition for being a stellar program, but we never have had a BCS conference to compliment it.

Memphis just couldnt get into the Big East because our AD (R.C. Johnson) is a moron.  They should try for the ACC or Big 12.

Big 12 would be best, ACC would be tough.

Joe you guys dont play anymore tough opponents, and havent since you played Georgetown.  The next real opponent you played was Tennessee and look what happened, you got your butt kicked because Memphis is not so clutch as you think they are.  They are a horrible free throw shooting team, which is what wins the close games come March Madness.  You hvae had way too many one point games that you could (and in some cases probably should) have lost. 

Just face reality Joe, Memphis is good but they aren't the best fit team to win march madness. 

Its okay though, your enthusiasm is warrented since Memphis hasn't ever really been a huge name in the headlines until the past 2 years.  This is somethign new for you and I guess you got just a little over excited

Me personally, I'm a Tar Heels fan and have been since I was born.  Them being #1 to me is nothing new which is why you don't see me running to an online forum going "OMG TAR HEELS #1 BABY!!!"

Gratitude, thats just sad that you can't get hyped and excited about your team when they do great.
