Iain M Banks' 'Culture' novels are really good, no idea if they're anything like that book though.

Last year my dad told me he tried to find CJ Cherryh novels on audiobooks  (because he is disabled and  has trouble reading) and none of her titles were available.

So he wrote her and asked why, and she wrote back that the format didn't work for her, and he wrote back that he was disappointed and had been a big fan but couldn't read them anymore

He didn't hear anything else

But now her books out on audio and he bought them big_smile






I found that out last night
I told him to write her and thank her
but tell her she was right
they misprounounced all the names etc.
Eg Chanur should rhyme with manure
and the kif should sound like Larry the Cable Guy "Imma gon cut his headoff and put it onna stick, nobl' hanny Cap'n"
