Interesting idea.  We've talked about email newsletters before, but tying it into a blog is interesting.

It reminds me of the various versions of the ic portal, but perhaps this is a bit more interesting content.  I'd like to see if we could programmatically figure out some of those numbers you listed.  Perhaps "war of the week" for example could be the biggest family gain from a single target family within a particular window.  We wouldn't need anybody to manually update that, we could pull it from the game data directly.

This is a cool idea.  Whatever content we could come up with could also double as content for the email newsletter mentioned above.  That way like you said, there aren't optins or emails if you don't want them but for those who do it can be available in as an email as well.
