You should have thrown salt over your left shoulder before you explored...
He did, but the salt broke a mirror behind him.
But then a black cat walked in front of him...
but then he saw a bird flying backwards ... and you know what that means ?
Then again, he did cross his fingers
Luckily he was wearing that rabbit's foot
But none of that even mattered...
Last Friday the 13th a bird flew in his window, when he chased it out of the house he stepped on a crack and tripped. He fell underneath of a ladder, and the horseshoe over his door fell off.
There was nothing he could do.
Or had to do, for he had his lucky Four-leaf clover.
If only he hadn't picked up that penny... It was tails up. The clover wouldn't have fallen out of his pocket and he wouldn't have had to pick it back up. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection he noticed that there was a small fifth leaf attached to his "unlucky clover"... The gods of misfortune have smitten him with a ravenous fury.
His explorations are doomed to be worthless from here on out.
nah nah you're all forgetting that he was born upside down, there's nothing in the world to arrange that ![]()
His fortune cookie said,
"You have a black soul and your lucky numbers are 13 13 13 13 13 13. Don't take the window seat."
good thing the new years is not on friday the 13th ... so its all good
so better luck next year ![]()
yes Rchie, the months normally have more than 13 days, did you know?
His luck changed as he has Uncle Scrooges lucky dime and he found the end of a rainbow.
But when he got there it was that scary leprechaun from the horror movie. Not the good one from Lucky Charms commercials...
In SS galaxies it is kind of lame, agreed. I can talk to the mods and see what the general idea is ![]()
a question, seriously now, is the planet size pre-defined? or its just an attribute that's created when you ezplore a planet?
Solutions in both 2 cases:
Pre-defined size -> you can design an algorithm the way all the systems are equally sized, appart from the amount of planets in it. If you set 220 as an average planet size and 20 as an average amount of planets, then you have 220*20=4400 as the average system size. The algorithm would calculate the total size of the system (randomly created) and would check if that number goes 400 up or 400 down, so we set a range from 4000 to 4800 system size. Any size crossing those limits triggers a re-create random system again, until the system size is in the range.
Size created when the planet is ezplored -> This leaves to a more complicated solution because you have to check the other planets already ezplored. Now the algorithm would work at planet level, not system level.
Let me think about it and I'll post the algorithm asap
If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?
If a planet is unowned in the blackness, does it have a size?
Almost poetic.
