We have been whining about never ending explophase all round... and then they extend it :S
Systems: 1019 (last round 1724)
No they dont...
Systems: 1019 (last round 1724)
Families: 12 (last round 23)
Family size: 10 (last round 12)
Total players from 23*12 = 276 to 10*12 = 120
Systems per player from 1724 / 276 = 6,2 to 1019 / 120 = 8,5
Increase in planets per player = 37,0% a major increase.
and on a sidenot, ffs learn some math Mizzle
I honestly do wonder how detached the mods are from playing...
The whole passive aspect of last round is due to way way way too many planets available. And now it's been made worse all over.

Hmmm yeah we try to have a 3 wk expo-phase in a 8 wk round
12 fams / 10 members / 8 expo's a day / 3wks = max 20160 planets
20160 / 22 (avarage planets per system) = 916 systems
MW does have ; Systems: 1019 (last round 1724) hence 22418 planets
a max avarage core in 3 wks from (10x8x21) 76 systems per fam ![]()
and 103 systems , 2266 planets . where you all can fight over (maximum) the next 5 wks
With the universal changes, we do not know for sure what players will play where in what galaxy.
sofar its a trial and we can adapt it better next rounds
*note its "when" all fams are filled to the max and "when" all fams are active enough to max their expoos.
So given some room for all stuff, tis means 4-5 weeks expo phase
Yeah depends on the activity a lot too offcourse but last round with a wider playerbase we tried allready to get closer to that 3 wk expo phase we didnt make it tho hopefully this round we get even more closer with the new playerbase for mw. its not on the edge of it yet but closer then last round with that rounds activity
Keep in mind no fam builds 8 explo's a day per fam member for a couple days as well. Given possibly low activity in some fams, or poor start strats, you'll likely end up with an explo phase stretching well past half way the round.
I remember the early days where explo phase lasted 2 weeks, and then it was 2 months of wars and fighting. Explo phase just isn't the most exciting part of the round, imo.
Why not halve the amount of planets per sytems? Could even go crazy and have a couple planets per system appear 5 weeks into the round or something ;p
Clearly there is room for more fams in MW!!! Filled after howmany hours? 12? something like that... Get more fam's in the map and give us an ally this round!
i have to agree with the people questioning this round's set up
both planet count, and overall size
i mean, it was full within the day, meaning a lot of people with draft plans didnt get them through, which means those couple of fams that did, will rule supreme.
Get more places in MW cause there obvously are still people wanting to join. Get more spots in a fam or make more fams and give us allies! Come on mods...

I hope theres less than 5 ghost spots because if there aren't theres gonna be 5 out of 12 fams with a 10% disadvantage = fail.
To late now. Fams are set and people that didn't get their drafts in in time should have been online sooner...
Just add 5 fams of 10 and give us an ally or add at least 3 players to every fam cause those spaces will fill up.
If that means pw will be empty then it is time to close pw and get everybody to mw! Why keep a galaxy open most of the people just join cause the other galaxy they want to be in is full?
right now there are only 40 players in PW, and some of them probably want to join MW. can't mods delay SOR and reset both gals so that they actually account for the interest shown in both gals? for example, you can make PW fams smaller so there is still a decent number of fams. something like fams of 4 or 5. as for MW, you can decrease the number of systems by at least 100 and make fams of 8 so there are a few more fams and less space between HSes of different fams.
