this round has been so dissapointing in so many ways that it isn't necessary to make a thread for it cuz it's too much to write down...
everyone has to know that everyone needs to change their game play or this stuff will keep going on, simple as that...
Its funny how this thread degenerated into a mud-fight right from the start and nobody even addresses the legitimate concerns ICD raised in the opening post about possibly broken game mechanics.
And to everyone complaining about how MW is rubbish now: play hc! no whining no limits just WAR!
Everyone cares too much about winning rather than having fun. Try being an active attacker in a mid ranked family if your round was a disappointment. All the top fams will take their turns trying to hit you, but there aren't many good active attackers left in this game so if you're a decent attacker you'll be able to have a lot of fun beating people back families with 5x the economy of yours.

i think everyone missed the entire point.. and people complained about us warring 56.. they had 3.3k planets obviously they were doing something right to have that.. then people come and say im not honorable for taking over 800.. well hell 45 opped before war during war and shit even now they are still opping.. is anything be said to them? hell no lol its funny.. and nobody addresses the situation i asked almost every mod even primo.. only KT and FD gave me answers and hell even KT was unsure.. wat kinda mess is this? im glad the round is over so many 2v1's this round it aint funny.. hats off to my fam we outlasted alot of fams even through we were 2v1 almost every fight.. hell 6654 farmed almost every low fam possible and NAPPED all the big ones.. playmates did great.. got cheated came back and are about to win size.. now thats a fam.. and Hats off to WS... i think u were so full of urself lol seems u can be controlled. good job lol.. Magni boy do u have some magic.. Scouty btw u suck lol.. i've heard from multiple people in playmates ur a Greedy SOB lol..

too many planets, too many naps
i was a 5mil nw pop banker making 21mil per tick, i saved 3.5 bil for my low family to spend on a fam jump and fighting a rogue who cannot fight back.
i had 10 wizzies since i joined, and they have sufficiently protected my pop against all 0 opps
nah, we can't win size anymore (even though it was a bit of a longshot, as we were inactive for the past 2 RL weeks). 44 destroyed all infra and disbanded all units so they'd fall out of our NW range.:/ and they had about the same savings too.:/

if what you guys sent Pitbull for his EOR jump was a significant portion of your savings, then you guys definitely didn't have more cash saved than us.:P and even if you did, wouldn't that be a reason to jump somebody?...Pitbull and SSL aren't the only ones in your fam with attack bonus.:/
Looking at the attackers this round, or well, the 'policy makers of the fams'... Did your balls drop off, or something?
Nowadays, the definition of winning a round is totally convoluted. Highest pcount? Well, sure, if you fought for the planets. All round. Three fams end at 4000+ planets. That's not winning the round for any of them, regardless of how much they fought or not.
Last time I played attacker/leader myself, we won the round as a fam. We had more than twice the planet count of the second fam. And we didn't win by NAPing half the galaxy and jumping 3 pop bankers to 20mil + nw before actually fighting a war.
So yes, it's time for someone to shake up the meta and show how it's done 
Mods needs to lead the way talic, it isnt possible wihth current setup unless you are majorly stacked
How does doing literally nothing all round except logging in once a day and saving, then jumping at EOR a 'win'?
Oh but Middle, that's not my definition of winning the round either. It's lame, at best. My point is, this round there is simply no clear winner. 3 fams could possibly claim it, but which of the 3?
You cannot win the round by napping everyone, eco whoring, then picking out 2-3 fights and ending at high p count. No, winning the round should be making sure there is no other fam that even compares to yours in pcount.
And Noir, yes, very true. Smaller galaxy (by a factor of 5 in number of planets ;p), more fams, smaller fams would be the way to go I suppose... Any explo phase that lasts longer than 3 weeks, is simply too long.
As for the smaller galaxy, not just less systems imo. It'd be a lot better to halve the amount of planets per systems, down to a max of 12. Less systems would decrease the amount of conflict one could have. That, or decrease the dimensions of the galaxy in size, eg 60 by 60 max, or something similar.
