from what time of the day is it ok to start drinking?
it's 2:27pm here bt it feels like i'm wasting good hours on not drinking..., luckily i leave in 15mins and head out to a bar, but still
what's your opinion on start hour? 10am? 11am? 1pm?
Normally u got people who actually work on weekdays, and ye there are also bums...
the current law is that you have to be awake for at least 1 hour, have brushed your teeth and then have had 2 and 1/2 pint glasses or at least 12 ounce glasses of water. time is does not matter
the law is more flexible on holidays, special events such as parties, weekends, real football games (american) or manchester united soccer games
drinking during any meal is perfectly acceptable (yes even breakfast)
I however drink surprisingly little, my incoherent ramblings have an entirely different cause muhahahahahahaaa
I enjoy drinking either water, milk or soda almost any hour of the day.
My rule is this: you're allowed to drink alcohol after 2 complete and seperate meals (you're not allowed to have them after eachother obviously) and when you have no other obligations to fulfill (work).
An exception has to be made on 2 occasions:
1) restaurants. It's only good manners and taste to drink according to your food in a restaurant.
2) new year's day. You've been up most of the night drinking. That party you have to go to should be regarded as an extention of that, not as a seperate occasion. Who cares if you haven't had anything in between?
what no romantic brunches with champagne? for shame
Drinking is acceptable at any time of the day provided that you are not doing it alone.
Are you awake?
Do you have beer?
It's perfectly acceptable.

My rule use to be if you can still pour the drink then its the correct time of the day to drink.
This rule has ruined some perfectly acceptable 6am mornings
thats' why you get a beer helmet prepped the night before
malt liquor and tonic water is a good combo
it's always happy hour somewhere in the world at any given time...
therefor its beer o'clock whenever u want it to 
:D
It's never okay to drink. Abstinence only. But I don't mind if others want to drink, provided it's in moderation.

don't drink in moderation. drink a lot. the jobs of millions of people working in the alcohol industry depend on your help in consuming lots of alcohol. not drinking a lot is simply being selfish and financially destructive
