I suppose this has been proposed before.  Is there anything in the works for a 3d galactic map instead of the 2d map?  A little java script where you can click on the map to rotate and spin it would be cool.

The solar system view could also be 3d and show more details and options about each planet without having to click on it to bring up the planet view.  The planet view is pretty useless, actually.  You could easily fit all the information and options of the planet view into the solar system view.

please no i play from phone sometimes and its already hard as it is with the split galaxies lol

it doesnt need to be java applet..i dont recommend java anyway.....i know it is possible...they have to add x,y,z:99.....can add x=1,2,3,4,5...buttons to click on different sector of the map....

honestly, i doubt it can be implemented but nice idea anyway

A 3D map can be an option.  Doesn't have to replace the 2d map entirely.

If it's done, you need to give the people the option of 2d or 3d.. That way ppl who play from their phone don't get that much trouble
