Not to mention that it pretty much forces big families to farm.

Scenario: A random small banker explores in or near your family.
Before this, players would either attack, or would sometimes allow the planet to sit around ("It's alright... it's just a banker.")
With this change, any banker planet could become an attacker planet, and thus spread, within a single tick.  So there's absolutely 0 chance a player can simply allow the banker to hold a nearby planet, because that planet could suddenly be a staging ground for a surprise attack.

Yup...Except it won't be big fams farming small ones, but small fams farming big fams.   So...  when will this get done, pleasE?

If you honestly believe that to be 100% true, then you haven't played in too long. Can you imagine an instant portal for an attacker in a big fam that's just above the 40% fam protetion rule? They get in and don't even have to jump fleet to farm.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

Well, if you just get rid of individual player NW protection, which you've pretty much already done with the Sentinel tag, it wouldn't matter.  The big fam wouldn't be able to farm the small fam due to the fam NW protection rule. 

This would, however, help small fams, though, which is why you don't want to do it, right? 

It would work if you had a Guardian tag that allows a fam to attack anyone inside their core without breaking their fam or individual NW protection.  See guardian tag thread.
