When a poster violates the rules, they are given a warning. That warning is posted in the thread that it is commited in. If it falls under the restricted language rules, then it's edited out.
The "official politics forum warning thread" is just a way for the fmods/mods to keep track of warnings, so if another warning comes up, it can bring forth a discussion among the fmod/mod on where to proceed next.
Mod's are clear to those who are blocked. We divulge all information on the rules broken and the penalty. What we do not do is consult with other players about the block.
We do not show favoritism. We do not show bias. We are human, and occasionally make mistakes, but those are limited to few and far between. We work as a team, and if 1 member doesn't have a full understanding, there are others to help him and we come to an agreement. We have made it a great effort in the past months to have more clarity between the fmod/mod staff and the players. Try better to keep you in the idea circle of what is going on. Occasionally, we have a few surprises, but that's only because some of the idea's roll out better that way.
If you have any idea's of improvement, please post them in the idea thread or contact a moderator personally if you do not want it to be public knowledge. We understand some of you can be shy. 
there is absolutely bias shown by the mods and fmods lol
loth has a personal vendetta against me for example because i said that he is one of the worst fmods ever which i don't think anyone has disagreed with
we tried to make changes to the rules in the think tank but that was quickly shut down and will never be revisited.
if this game was free and donations were actually considered donations in the true meaning of the word then i would say that the players have less support for bitching about how the game is run. however, we all know that stefan has abandoned the game and the only changes made are made by other players that gracefully volunteer their time like pie and others. the purpose of donations in a game like this is to put the money back into the game but we all know that that hasn't been done in the past many years. therefore, the only reason people pay the vip price is to get the draft codes and few other perks that come along with it. this game has thus become one that many people actually pay for to play rather than just giving donations out of their good nature and have every right to demand a more detailed rule set and some sort of consistency about handing out punishments.
i think most people including myself would shut up about it if the majority of players were allowed to amend the rules and some sort of appeals process was instituted rather than just relying on every mod/fmod to be impartial and construe the very ambiguous rules as they each seem fit with no sense of consistency
in addition every mod should be voted in by a majority of the player base rather than appointed by other mods. this current system is bs and only leads to more biased people coming into power.
Dpenguins i don't have a vendetta against you or anyone else, I have edited your posts based on the forum rules, I have warned you for some violations and some i have not i have just merely edited were needed. As to me getting f-modded I have no problem stopping being one , I never asked for it , and not doing the job would free up time to play more instead of scouring through pages of posts, no skin off my nose at all:)
I treat all posters including those that just want to troll the same, I have no biased towards one player or another.
That said i won't defend myself to you anymore as it's not needed:) If what i do is not good enough then the mod team will d-fmod me simple.

The bias o0f mods is that they refuse to block/ban the obvious trolls of this forum, V.Kemp and Flint. The fact they can both get away with personal insults, blatant trolls and flaming and the only ones that get blocked are those who slip and respond to them in a similar manner speaks volumes for the bias of the (f)modding team.
I bring up legit topics, with legit allowances for debate.

The more they yell the mods r biased actually prevents the mods of doing their job properly, cuz if they would block them it would be used against them and the whole 'i told you so' argument will come up. So to not seem biased they give them more leeway. ( not nessesarily by choice)
I have a personal bias against figures of authorithy, im aware of that so that makes me capable of adjusting my tone. But mr spock abuses that fact of others like me to be able to say what he wants.

We debated on that topic with the mods/fmods yesterday.
There is no bias when it comes to blocks. I myself, have blocked strangers, people I don't care for, and friends alike. It's not always easy, but it must be done.
Start an idea thread. If there is a way to improve the mod selection, or enforcement of rules, or any other issue the community can think of, then start it there. We are open to ideas and change, contrary to popular belief.
