Use it Dammit

IC is a team game. No one gets anywhere with out the fam unless you are a bad ass like xxWillxx. The only way to work as a team is through communication. Why not just use PM's you ask? Sure why not try building a relationship with some one you have never met using the pony express. It's a lot of waiting and potential for messages to get overlooked. Plus as a somewhat experienced player I can't stand seeing a message prompt every time I load a new page in my browser. Not gonna lie it get's me off task on occasion and I forget to do things like station figs because i haven't slept in 20 some odd hours  and you just pm'd me 15 times in two mintues >(.

My point being is that fam chat is easy and direct. Even if you only use it five minutes out of the day. It's very fast easy to use. 

Things I love about fam chat.

-I jump into it fully ready to communicate.

-It's real time, making strategy planning efficient and easy.

-It makes bonding with your fam a hell of a lot easier.  When you are bored talk about the latest you tube video where a twelve year posts ridiculous  fake fart sounds for five minutes that for some reason three million people think is the best thing since sliced bread. Maybe talk about sports. Your family, Your GF/BF/Computer/Blow up sheep. Get to know one another.

-You make friends with your family and I guarantee every one will do that extra little bit to help out. Staying on another hour to pass the fam bank when you need to sleep for the exams that started  two hours ago. Calling in sick from work for a sure to be fun banker raid. etc.

-It also lets your fam know you are active and willing to help out. Then you as well know who is active and participating.

-Less clutter. irc happily deletes conversations for you as you close the application. IC makes you check every box, of every message  you want to  delete until carpal tunnel slaps you in the brain.

IC for many is about community, social networking, and gaming. It's a niche game. You can play the lone wolf if you like. To each his own, this thread is not for you. Those of ya that want to work as a team and get into the fam aspect of the game plz keep this in mind. Hope this helps somebody.
