Re: (Re)Designing IC-Wiki's Content Structure
Ahem, how again do I upload an image? Either I have just forgotten it or it has been changed.

I think I need to configure this feature. I'll add it to my list.
How much control do you have over those captcha questions? What do you think about replacing all of the questions with IC related ones?
How many soldiers can fit into one transport?
What is the minimum number of votes one needs to become the leader of their family?
What is the name of the IRC channel where one can get help from the moderators?
What is the minimum number of resources in a market order?
I have full control over it.
It's a cool idea, but I'm afraid it may deter people who no longer play, including myself. As an example, off the top of my head I only know 50% of those for certain.
I'm thinking more and more the right solution is to disable guest editing entirely and use IC's accounts to auth for the wiki. Ideally if I could do some kind of cross site session "borrowing" in a secure way then currently logged in ICers will be able to edit the wiki without having to log in again at all.
Mmmh, I fear that the creation of a user account in the ic-wiki needs to be restricted or better protected.
From 21st to 28th (in 1 week) 382 new user accounts were created. Of those probably 381 are bots and have also created a user-page in which they spammed their gibberish. If this developments continues: 380 accounts a week = almost 20.000 a year.
Any ideas or suggestions?
I agree with using IC accounts. Or you could use facebook/google auth for both icwiki and IC?
Bump
Site is basically down at the moment:
http://ic-wiki.com/
A database error has occurred.
Posting it here because perhaps I like pie gets an automatic email-notification.
Any bigger problems or has the site moved to an new address? Weren't there some thoughts to move it to the webspace of IC?
Or are there any plans to merge the ic-wiki with the new http://imperialconflict.com/wiki ?
