Well, it's official.. My fleet is AWOL...   Dev can't find it and the rest of my fleet is getting demolished because of it.  I do appreciate I Like Pie's work on trying to find, but my round is officially SCREWED

It only takes 1 minute to DU your stationed fleet 5 times or run them. If you were looking at your fleet page for more than 1 minute this could have happen:

an enemy empire has a portal in the system you were stationing, he does a noob move and attacks you with full fleet thinking it is a normal retake.  He sends a few figs but a lot of ground.  Your stationed figs destroy all his transports so he looses his main fleet and get pissed. So he DU your figs (or he recalls his hidden figs and run yours).  After doing that he's still pissed because he lost all his ground and he deletes.  Result ---> next time you click on HQ recent reports you find nothing, and next time you click on your fleet you find some of your figs gone.
