Your opponent has a lot more ground units than the 39700 of your droids that managed to reach the groundfight phase. No bug.

Indeed,  you need to raise your military % and use more ground to win this one.

He obviously completed a portal while your fleet was in route, it happens a lot, dont worry and keep trying
