Re: Retiring from politics

Don't you all cheer and congratulate me all at once or anything.  Just wanted to say I'm done with politics and won't be posting here anymore.  I've made all the points I've wanted to in venting frustrations I have with witnessing the insanity of the world unfold over the last what 8 years I've been posting here.  It's allowed me to sort out my stances on many issues.  I've learned a lot about myself and the world by being a part of the politics community.  It's time to move on...

Wish everyone the best.  Even Kemp and Einstein.

Take care.

Okay, Arby, you can close the thread now if you want.

Xeno some notes for you

[off topic.. just wish him a happy retirement and not an invite to a debate]

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)

Goodbye, Einstein.  I hope you endeavor to conserve the good things about the system, and wish you would consider the possibility, in light of historical, recent, and current events, that there is something inherently wrong, evil even, with the system which needs to be transformed to good.

Xeno, you're not the first person to try to stay away. Good luck!

Flint, you just made a completely off topic post and then threatened anyone who responded to you.

Thanks, Sitting Duck.  I will be staying away.  I have commitments which necessitate my moving on to bigger and better things.

Re: Retiring from politics

"Don't off topic his retirement thread"

Perhaps heed your own advice? =P  Seems a bit flame-baitey to state a list of opinions, acknowledge that people may want to contest them, and then tell them that doing so would be off topic.

In any case, so long xeno!  Does this mean you'll be in other IC forums or irc still?  Or are you leaving IC completely?

Thanks I Like Pie.  I will definitely still play IC, and check out and post in other IC forums.  Love the game, although it is most enjoyable when you can be really, really active attacker, and I may be too busy to be anything other than a banker / resser / opper.

My internet access has been irregular, and I nearly forgot. Good luck Xeno. I wish you well in life, whatever it is you choose to do.

Flint: Yes, but the advice you put up was just asking for argument, and probably a flame war, so it would have been better to put nothing... unless you wanted to Troll of course....

Thanks LP.  I think it is generally good advice to stay away from aliens and ignore their opinions, especially vulcans.
