i feel like we need a thread for movies for guys to watch when their wives are away or when they are here.  i think we should post movies with the note next to them whether or not their wives should watch.

my first pick is a movie that is currently on netflix streaming.

Warrior (2011) with nick nolte
- rocky like sports/drama with nick nolte as a recovering alcoholic father trying to reconnect with his sons.  amazing MMA fighting marathon with realistic bouts.  women will watch it if they can last for the first 20 minutes of the story.

Drive is one of the best films I've seen in a long time. When you say "men films", I assume films that are great to watch with a load of beer.
Anyway, here's my list, starting with my 3 favourite drunk films:

- The Big Lebowski
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
- Inglourious Basterds

Some others:
- Black cat, white cat
- A clockwork Orange
- Shaun of The Dead
- C'est arriv

YES, it' can be a guy film.


As for the Suckerpunch, and Kids up above....thsoe movies weren't meant for "Guys".  Unless the guy is into degradation and rape of women....drugged or otherwise.


How about a guys film that can be enjoyed along with women?

I'm a guy.  I loved the power of Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman, I loved the overcome your fear of Strictly Ballroom, and I had absolute FUN with Mamma Mia.  Now most guys will go, "Those are chick flicks," and they would be half right.  But they'd be half wrong.  It's a movie not only for women, BUT FOR MEN.  Manly Men!  And if a guy is "scared" to watch those movies...then they arn't true men.  Because their scared.
