no it needed 2 draft spots at least....5 randoms is fail....2-3 fams will get the good randoms the rest will trail for the duration.

2 drafts could have stopped that imo and made it more fair. 3 randoms 2 drafts, whats more fair then that.

I vote full drafts, however many members u have in a fam. Randomness should be minimized in hc

The mod team is trying to have a few galaxies standard running ..

a mellow galaxy - longer rounds , more time to learn and/or get used to the real basics from the game , more ressies , mellow set up from families , etc.

a avarage galaxy - avarage round lenght , avarage family set up , you all get the avarage part

a hardcore galaxy - fams/ and players should have a challenge . difficult family set up , ressie difficult , short rounds , etc

We try to give an answer this way on a lot of questions about "If we could have more galaxies"
Its a trial .. we try to find the right set up to have a balance between activity/player base
And we will adapt where possible offcourse.

Hardcore should stay Hardcore indeed .. very difficult ..

Yeah its a pretty bad idea. I'll tell  you right now that it will fail. Its been done in the past and failed with a larger player base. Its going to fail again with a smaller player base. Not to mention a lot of people still don't understand basic concepts of the game. Hardcore galaxies require a bit more attention to detail. There will be no competition.

If you want to make something difficult, then make something that actually adapts to the player base. Think outside of the box. This is...a piece of crap lol

And I can guarantee that you won't get 100 active players. So why even bother? Be realistic. If you want to be successful at something, particularly in IC, then do something that hasn't been done before.

The setup is fine. if you want special treatment get all of your buddies to pay for a special galaxy.

can you change it to just 3 man families? 5 seems to too many people.. The active serious players should have already registered.

You could have the extra players random back in.

2 drafts at the very least imo. 3 players in a fam and already 1 seems to be inactive (hasnt logged in since joining)

there r more then 6 decent players.
but by allowing them to draft, ul have every fam with decent people to start with.

instaid of this even spreading of resources, u prefer to rely on luck.
