Re: Grammar and Spelling Hunters, Unite!

It's about time we did something about this.

+1 Tag point for every reported typo or punctuation error to the first person to report it here.

+2 Tag points for every non-typographical/non-punctuation grammatical error.

Let the hunt begin!

Reported from Render: 3 transporters failed to avoid the defenders groundfire and fell to the ground, none of the "passangers" had a chance of surviving

Oh, you mean the period/punctuation?  I suppose that does count as well doesn't it. =P

Re: Grammar and Spelling Hunters, Unite!

Once I confirm and fix it in the code, yes. smile

Although, I may group punctuation with typo errors (1 tag point).  Still a good find though!

Re: Grammar and Spelling Hunters, Unite!

I may be spamming this thread with these the more that I find.

From recent reports:
1.
Week xx, x    Defense Report
Our planet x at x:xxx, y:yyy was attacked by EMPIRE of family ####. When we first spotted the overwhelming enemy force approaching we already suspected defeat and managed to prepare a nuclear blast which made the planet **inhabitable** when we left.
At least we didn't lose a single unit.

Should be "uninhabitable".

Also this message is displayed even for intra family attacks despite the fact that the planet is no longer blown up if you're below 35%. I imagine that will take a bit more work to sort out.

2.
Week xx, xDefense ReportOur planet xx at x:xxx, y:yy was attacked by EMPIRE of family ####. Our defending forces fought bravely but I am sorry to say ***that they after a long bloody fight had to flee the planet.***
At least we didn't lose a single unit.

There are several ways to rectify this, here is my favourite:

Re: Grammar and Spelling Hunters, Unite!

the correct one imo is

" Our defending forces fought bravely but I am sorry to say that, after a long and bloody fight , they had to flee from the planet."

Re: Grammar and Spelling Hunters, Unite!

something else that kind of bugs me..

GCs vs "cash", which is it? for example.. Along the top of the page it says GCs yet on my HQ page it says Cash, also other examples across the game..

I saw this up above as well and should be changed to 8 eships a day.

- Exploration Ship
To colonize uninhabited world*, exploration ships are used. They are filled with colonists seeking a fresh start. They also typically have very poor defenses. Because of not having enough volunteers for such a dangerous mission, you can only build up to 6 explorationships* a day. You can send your explorationships* by by* clicking on an empty planet on the map.
